Echoes of the Gelao is a suite of five short guitar piece inspired by the ancient culture, mountain landscapes, and living traditions of the Gelao people in Guizhou. Through delicate melodies, rhythmic dance-like passages, and a sense of distant memory, the music evokes village gates, moonlit mountains, old voices, and the warmth of gathering and celebration. It is both a tribute to Gelao heritage and a poetic reflection on how tradition continues to resonate through the guitar.
